About

Integrative and Functional Medicine

Whether you need a nutritional overhaul or small changes, the goal is to let natural medicine improve your health while integrating a nutritional lifestyle you can live with.

As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with an emphasis on Functional and Integrative Nutrition, I believe that looking at the whole person, not the just the disease or symptoms, to promote a person’s overall health, vitality and well-being.

Each person is unique and this is recognized in a personalized clinical assessment, nutrition diagnosis, and intervention plan that engages and empowers the patient in this process to restore optimal function and manage symptoms. As an RDN and having to heal my own body with functional medicine, I understand the value of clear steps and positive lifestyle changes that reduce overall stress and restore system balances.

Personally, I have been told “Its all in your head”, and diagnosed as having anxiety. My symptoms of brain fog, situational anxiety, panic attacks, stomach pain, nausea, low appetite, fatigue and heart palpitations had a root cause only to be restored though functional medicine. Personally, I know what its like to piece together the puzzle, understand the trigger, and start thriving again. Because the appointments are longer, you will feel heard and respected as we discuss your health goals and concerns.

What is Integrative and Functional Medicine?

The History: Mountain, Desert, and Ocean Adventures

“Organic, healthy eating and outdoor adventures in the mountains, oceans, and deserts was a norm for my early childhood. Later, I realized that this was actually a unique way to live and one I will forever be thankful for.”

My dream. I knew that I wanted this lifestyle of loving nature to never die out but to be a legacy I could pass on. So I began dreaming. How could I have the greatest impact on individual lives and families? After I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), I developed Outdoor Nutrition®. Freedom begins when your mind, body, and spirit are strong.

“Oh, these vast, calm, measureless mountain days, days in whose light everything seems equally divine, opening a thousand windows to show us God.”
